At the age of 58, Jacque has regained the figure she had in her early twenties. In one year, starting from February 2018, she lost 80 lbs. She went from a size 18 to a size 4 and eventually even became a health coach!

Easter is coming (pun intended), and we all know what that means for those of us trying to lose weight. Temptation! Countless chocolate bunnies and towers of marshmallow chicks everywhere 😅.
With so many delicious treats, the kids’ Easter eggs hunt coming up, together with that glazed ham sitting in your pantry and staring at you right in the face, one might get a bit anxious when thinking about how to stay true to our progress so far.
We wanted to give you a bit more ammo this Easter, so we put together a list of tips on how to make the best of the holiday if you’re on a weight loss journey. Plus, to show you how other people will be doing it, we’ve asked some of our friends in the Progress Accountability fb group to share with us their plans.
Aiming for a 60 lbs weight loss might sound ambitious, but it is doable, and we have proof! So here’s how to lose 60 lbs from someone who has managed to do it! In 2017, Kendra was at her heaviest, wearing a size 18 and dealing with anxiety. Since then, she has lost 60 lbs (27kg) and dropped to a size 11, but her weight loss journey is far from over. She’s turning this into a lifestyle of “awesomeness”.
Back in October 2018 Kendra posted in the Progress Accountability FB Group where she updated us frequently on how she was progressing: “A year of exercising on a regular basis and eating right can do wonders for one’s mental health. I re-joined the gym a year ago this month. Now approximately 52 lbs less!”

On November 13, Alyson celebrated her 1st fit-iversary (the first anniversary since beginning her weight loss journey) by posting on the Progress Facebook Group:
“Over 30 kgs lost. Down from size 20+ to 12. Fitter & stronger than ever before. More importantly my chronic health problems have improved massively. Diabetes back under control and nearing remission. My liver disease well in the way to being beaten.”

Perfect roast turkey, cornbread, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie 🤤… It’s absolutely normal to want to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner with our loved ones, but it can lead to negative or conflicting feelings for those of us on a weight loss journey.
You definitely shouldn’t miss out on important traditions or feel deprived, but it can be really helpful to consider the potential challenges ahead of time and make a plan for the big day.
Think about it a few days ahead. Is it better for you to make a light, alternative version to the dinner? Would your family enjoy some little adjustments to the traditional recipes? Or are you going to make a deal with yourself that enjoying a big Thanksgiving meal doesn’t mean your diet is broken forever?
You’re doing everything modern wisdom tells you to do to lose weight – you’re eating healthily, you’re exercising regularly and you’re getting a good amount of sleep. Baby, it’s cold outside… and if you think I’m freezing my butt off exercising in THAT, you’re crazy.
I’d love to say that I’m one of those hardy types who can go for a run in freezing rain, or who doesn’t mind trudging off to the gym in the dark, but once the days start drawing in, my motivation to leave the house to exercise seems to get packed away along with my summer clothes, open toe sandals, and the BBQ equipment (until next year, my delicious meat-grilling friends).
